September 23: Medieval Demo

Acre will be providing armored fighting demonstrations, (number and times to be negotiated with the venue), fight-a-knight, fencing demonstrations, a Maypole dance, various A&S displays, and possibly a royal court (or two), as well as providing color and gravitas to the other goings-on at the Fair.

We do not get many chances to show the public what we do in Acre, so let’s make this one count. Acre members are strongly encouraged to dress in “Fair Level” garb, which means leave your sneakers, wristwatch, and sunglasses in the car, please, and keep your cellphone concealed. Fighters, please, no exposed plastic armor. Look the part, people, we want the public to know we’re serious when they see us.

The site is located at 201 Montauk Highway, Moriches, NY 11955. (This is the library’s correct address. Do not go to their old Wm. Floyd Pkwy address). It’s far, I know, but please come out and support the Kingdom.
