HEAR THE CALL OF THE NORSE!

It is the Year 1075. Hearken, warriors, shield-maidens, skalds, and wanderers of the North! The time has come to take England back!

By decree of Her Highness, Princess Galiena the Small, the Norse banners shall once again be raised, the longships made ready. And, for reasons known only to the gods, Prince Gilchrist shall be permitted to come along for the raid.

JOIN THE QUEST

Gather, warriors, shield-maidens, skalds, and friends of the Crown! Make thy way to the County of Queens, in the far-off lands of New York Their Highnesses command that the evening be steeped in the ways and spirit of the Norse. Come dressed for the mead hall, the longship, or the battlefield—or at the very least, looking as though you could survive a Viking raid. Come with thy stomachs empty and thy appetites mighty, for a grand Nordic feast shall be prepared by the renowned Countess Catherine. During the feast, Their Highnesses would be greatly pleased by songs, stories, music, boasts, poems, and other forms of merriment.

Let the skalds sing!

Let the tales grow taller with every cup!

Let the hall ring with laughter!

Prince Gilchrist is a great lover of whimsy, and welcomes foolishness, merriment, and whatever strange entertainment the gods may send our way. Princess Galiena is a woman of refined Norse taste and is particularly fond of rum. Her royal cup should therefore never be allowed to grow empty.

Gather thy kin.

Bring thy courage.

Bring thy appetite.

Bring thy best Viking spirit.

May Odin watch over us,

may the winds fill our sails,

and may the number of sacrifices be kept to a minimum.

SKÅL!
